When the
iPhone version of Super Ball Escape was updated and dropped in price at the end of April, the press release also mentioned an HD version of the game would be out this week and sure enough, Super Ball Escape HD is available for download now.
Interestingly, developers Playlithium have decided to go down the freemium route for the big screen version, so the game is free to download but requires an in-app purchase of $1.99/£1.19 to unlock the complete game.
In the free edition you get all the training levels and the first four levels of the game, however they don’t let on how many more levels there are to be unlocked; but if it’s the same as the iPhone version there will be another eight.I’ve yet to try the game out, so I can’t say if the maps are any different to the iPhone game, but if you’ve tried them both, let us know in the comments if the two games are the same.
